Meditoxin 200U

Meditoxin 200U is a botulinum toxin type A product developed by Medy-Tox Korea Limited and approved by the Korean authority (KFDA) in 2004. It is supplied as a lyophilised white powder for injection in a colourless, transparent vial, one vial per pack. The active ingredient is Clostridium botulinum toxin type A (Hall strain); the export name is Neuronox.

The manufacturer's approved aesthetic indication is the temporary improvement of moderate to severe glabellar lines associated with corrugator and/or procerus muscle activity in adults aged 20 to 65.

Presentation and reconstitution

The powder is compacted inside the vial and may appear empty. Reconstitute with saline:

  • 100 units: 2.5 ml saline
  • 200 units: 5 ml saline

Storage

The manufacturer states: store at -15 to -5 °C, or at 2 to 8 °C in a refrigerator, in a hermetic container.

Safety information
