Lidocaine Hydrochloride Hydrate
Lidocaine Hydrochloride Hydrate
Introducing Lidocaine Hydrochloride Hydrate. Injections Containing 2% Lidocaine. Exercise caution to avoid unnecessarily high doses of local anesthetics.
Purpose
1. Anesthesia: Epidural, infiltration, surface anesthesia, or nerve block.
2. Internal medical use: Treatment of ventricular arrhythmia.
Dosage & Administration
– Anesthesia
Adjust the dosage based on patient response and administration site.
Administer the lowest concentration and smallest dose necessary for the desired effect.
Dosage varies based on the area to be anesthetized, tissue vascularity, the number of neuronal segments to be blocked, individual tolerance, and the chosen anesthetic technique.
Administer the minimum dosage required for anesthesia.
Lidocaine Hydrochloride Hydrate For Adults:
Exercise caution to avoid unnecessarily high doses of local anesthetics.
The maximum dose for healthy adults should not exceed 200 mg.
1. Epidural (max. dose: 200 mg as Lidocaine HCl per instance): 40 ~ 200 mg
2. Nerve block (max. dose: 200 mg as Lidocaine HCl per instance): 30 ~ 200 mg, 60 ~ 120 mg for support nerve block
3. Infiltration (max. dose: 200 mg as Lidocaine HCl per instance): 40 ~ 200 mg
4. Surface: Apply a moderate dose to the affected area using a spread or spray.
Dosage adjustments should consider age, anesthetic areas, body parts, tissues, symptoms, constitution, or overall body conditions.
Lidocaine Hydrochloride Hydrate Internal Medical Use
For Adults:
1. Single intravenous administration: 50 ~ 100 mg (1 ~ 2 mg/kg) as Lidocaine HCl per instance, administered slowly intravenously over 1 ~ 2 minutes.
If the desired response is not achieved, administer the same dosage 5 minutes after the first injection. Additionally, repeat the same dosage at 10 ~ 20 minute intervals as necessary, but the maximum dose for 1 hour should not exceed 300 mg.
2. I.V. Instillation administration: If single I.V. administration is effective and a prolonged effect is desired, administer via I.V. instillation under continuous ECG monitoring.
Lidocaine HCl is I.V. administered at a rate of 1 ~ 2 mg as lidocaine HCl per minute. If necessary, the infusion rate may be increased, with a maximum rate of 4 mg per minute.
