Juvéderm Ultra 4 is a dermal filler based on HA that is used to fill in skin depressions and reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles, particularly around the lips and nose. This product is also known as Juvederm Ultra Plus XC in the United States.
Juvéderm Ultra 4 is the only hyaluronic acid-based filler approved by the FDA to treat moderate-to-severe wrinkles and folds for up to 12 months. It is manufactured in Haute Savoie. It uses Allergan Laboratories' HYLACROSS ® and 3D Matrix technology to provide soft, comfortable treatment for facial flaws like wrinkles. Juvéderm Ultra 4 is a product in the Juvéderm Ultra line, which includes a number of gels for treating signs of ageing.
Juvéderm Ultra 4 gel has the following characteristics:
Juvéderm Ultra 4 gel helps to restore volume to treated areas such as the chin and cheekbones, which helps to reduce wrinkles and redefine lip contour. Effectiveness duration:
The effects are visible immediately after injection, and the duration of these effects depends on the patient's age and dosage. Juvéderm ULTRA treatments have been shown to last up to 12 months.
Contraindications:
Minors, pregnant or nursing women, and those who have previously experienced skin inflammation or allergies should avoid using this product. Avoid using on infected or inflamed skin.
Avoid areas that have had permanent fillers used.
Juvederm Ultra should not be used after laser treatment, chemical peeling, dermabrasion, or if there is a significant inflammatory reaction following superficial peeling. Those who have a hyaluronic acid hypersensitivity reaction, a history of autoimmune illnesses, or a history of persistent streptococcal infection should avoid using this product, as should minors, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and people with skin inflammation or an allergy history.
Do not apply to an infected or irritated skin area. Avoid using in areas where permanent fillers have been used. JUVEDERM ULTRA should not be used after laser treatment, strong chemical peeling, dermabrasion, or a severe reaction to a superficial peel. Avoid this product if you are allergic to hyaluronic acid, have a history of auto-immune disease, or have had a long streptococcus infection. This product should not be used by children, pregnant women, or people who have skin inflammation or allergies.
