Aftercare and precautions

Avoid facial scrubs, peels, alcohol, sauna, strenuous exercise and smoking for at least one week.

Temporary pain, bruising and swelling may occur and usually settle within a week; bruising can last longer in some cases.

For bruising, apply cold compresses first, followed by warm compresses.
